GALAPAGOS ISLAND REGION

The Galapagos Islands are located 972 km west of the Ecuadorian coasts, they are also called touristically enchanted islands. The Galapagos Islands are made up of 13 large volcanic islands, 6 smaller islands and 107 islets.
The Galapagos archipelago has 4 islands such as: Isla San Cristobal, Santa Cruz, Isabela, Floreana Island. The Galapagos climate is varied because it has the cold currents of the child and the warm current of Humboldt so that's why we like hot microclimates cool and moist.

EASTERN REGION OR AMAZON

HIGHLAND REGION

The Andean region, or highland Ecuador is located in the middle of the two regions, this region is very mountainous with two western and eastern mountain ranges. with a host of plateaux. It has 11 provinces in different provinces have several places where you can get distracted like park, historic centers of each cities, ecological reserves, rivers, waterfalls, museums, lakes, lagoons history religious centers. It also has great mountains and active volcanoes.

Each community is dressed according to their beliefs and cultures of each city. THE COAST REGION 

The Coast region, is located between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes Mountains, this region has two streams as the cold current of El Niño and the warm current of Humboldt this coastal region consists of coastal lowlands, mountains, valleys and coastal hills. Rich agricultural land the inhabitants cultivate bananas, coffee, cocoa, rice, soybeans, sugar cane and tropical fruits.

PROVINCES THAT COMPOSE ECUADOR

Ecuador is divided into 22 provinces. The 22 provinces are composed of 215 cantons. In 1900 there were 48 counties in 1950 increased to 87 in 1975 and numbered 116, and the end of 1999 totaled 215, divided as follows: 83 in the Costa, 91 in la Sierra, 38 in the Amazon and Galapagos 3.

Ecuador is comprised of four natural regions:

Coast or Costa, located on the western fringe. Five coastal provinces.
